Cute! I've never seen that one before. It reminds me of a picture from Adam's Rib.

I received Without Love from a website finallly! I just finished watching it for the 10th time and LOVED it. The only thing that lacked for me was the lack of love scenes between Kate and Spence. Is it true their on-screen kissing days were over after Woman of the Year? This was their fourth film and the chemistry is still there although I think they could have made Spencer's part a little more likable. Kate gets a kissing scene with that French actor and not Spence when they get together at the end?! CRIMINAL! Didn't make alot of sense to me. I presume a personal choice of the actors (due to their off screen affair) which should have been overthrown by the director!! lol Lacking romantic scenes aside, my favourite scene is where Spence plays the piano and Kate listens on the stairs and outside the door. It's such a beautiful piece of music matched with an equally beautifully acted scene. I rewind and re-watch it constantly! Without Love actually reminds me a little - make that alot of a Barbra Streisand movie (my favourite movie actually) called The Mirror Has Two Faces with Jeff Bridges. The whole 'marriage for convenience' thing and then falling for eachother. It's basiaclly the same plot! I'm pretty sure "Mirror" was based on a French novel but I wonder if that was inspired by Without Love, the play. Well, they are very similar either way, so I immediately felt like I knew the plot.
I understand it was the whole point of the plot (hence: with-OUT love lol) but they couuuld have indulged the audience with more 'will they - won't they?' scenes. If anyone has seen Streisand's "Mirror" you really get a sense of the two characters going against their original agreement and falling in love. I just felt that was lacking in Without Love - perhaps a poor directorial decision? And they still could have conveyed it without kissing it they reeeally didn't want to! VERY different role for Kath. Of their films I have seen so far, this is definately set appart from the others in a way I can't explain after only a few viewings. It's just.... different!? maybe because Kate's role is so unlike WOTY, Desk Set, Adam's, GWCTD etc..
Kate love to all

WOW 10 times - that is more than I have viewed it Makes me feel like a bad fan I love the freshness you bring Jess. To read how you feel about the films that you discover is a real treat ;D Have noticed you see so many details - some that we haven't talked about here previously - great job You are right - it is a CRIME that they didn't kiss in the end
