waouah it's a difficult thing to choose !! 1. Aliénor d'Aquitaine and Henry talking in the lion in the winter : "I could peel you like a pear, and God himself would call it justice. " 2. Aliénor and henry in the end of the movie :"I should have been a great fool... not to love you." 3. Rosie sawyer and Charlie Alnut in African queen : "Pinch me, Rosie. Here we are, going down the river like Anthony and Cleopatra on that barge!", "I'll never forget the way you looked going over the falls - head up, chin out, hair blowing in the wind - the living picture of a hero-eyne!", "Me as a heroine, oh Charlie you lost your mind" 4. On Golden pond Ethel : "You know, Norman, you really are the sweetest man in the world, but I'm the only one who knows it." 5. Mrs delafield wants to marry : when Margaret and Marvin are talking and kissing in the car, suddenly the hip of Margaret get jammed it's very funny, and the neighboors think they are having sex in the garden ! 6. Pat and mike, "I need someon look after me", "What about me ?" .... 7. Holiday, New year's eve in linda's room 8. Adam's rib : Adam Bonner: What are ya? Sore about a little slap? Amanda Bonner: No. Adam Bonner: Well, what then? [outraged] Amanda Bonner: You meant that, didn't you? You really meant that. Adam Bonner: Why, no, I... Amanda Bonner: Yes, you did. I can tell. I know your type. I know a slap from a slug. Adam Bonner: Well, OK, OK. Amanda Bonner: I'm not so sure it is. I'm not so sure I care to expose myself to typical instinctive masculine brutality. Adam Bonner: Oh come now. Amanda Bonner: And it felt not only as though you meant it, but as though you felt you had a right to. I can tell. Adam Bonner: What've you got back there? Radar equipment? 9. Song of love when Johannes invites Clara to his concert, she refuses and finally she comes. 10. Bringing up baby, Susan Vance: Oh, David, can you ever forgive me? David Huxley: I... I... I... Susan Vance: You can! And you still love me. David Huxley: Susan, that... that... Susan Vance: You do. Oh, David. David Huxley: Oh, dear. Oh, my.

I haven't seen MDWTM but that scene sounds very funny. I'm moving it to the top of my Kate Must See list.

I thought of another, in Adam's rib after Adam hits her on the butt and then she's crying and kicks him in the shin! Classic. And in Women of the year when she doesn't know who the pitcher is at the baseball game.

Another of my favorite parts - The Lion in Winter, when she is talking to Richard outside and he tells her she is incapable of feeling and is about to walk off and she turns around and says 'don't leave me'...such a wonderful scene. Such a wonderful movie, I can never watch it too many times. I think this is my all time favorite.

Lion in the winter is full of great dialog, they ren each others but Alienor has always the most cruel word like : when she confess him she slept with his father. This movie is a treat !!!

Lion in the winter is full of great dialog, they ren each others but Alienor has always the most cruel word like : when she confess him she slept with his father. This movie is a treat !!! It so is. I love it. I've been watching it in bed before I go to sleep for the last few nights. I didn't want to watch it all at once so I thought I'd watch it over two nights. But whenever I put it on the next night, I can't help but watch most of the bits I'd already watched the night before when I'm skipping through. I still haven't got to the end! As a matter of interest, in the scene where Eleanor is talking to Alis when she is making mulled wine for Henry and they hug, they start talking French - do you know what they are saying? Love Gem

This movie is really wonderfull, Kate is great ! But the story is not very faithfull to history ( it's a defect of historian : we are very severe with historical movies), but of course Kate live down this ! The french words means : so my dear ? (aliénor), i'm scared mummy (aelis). I found a mebsite with scripts of few movies of kate : www.script-o-rama.com/search.shtmlbye

oh thanks! Wonderful site! I'll check it out as soon as I get back. I'm spending my Saturday taking some kids to take part in the Eisteddfod (it's a big Welsh competition thingy). I hope they get through, obviously, but getting up at 6.30am on a weekend is not on!

Thanks Amber - we did well, we entered four competitions and came either first or second in all of them! That was just the local prelims though. But it means we go through to the main Eisteddfod where we will compete against other school from all around Wales. I'm so proud!!

Ahh! I'm going to get AQ tonight. Damn. I was trying to resist. I've watched way too many movies lately . . . but what's the point of resisting a Kate movie. . . ? And is there really such thing as watching too many movies?
