Wassup Guys, This is a very interesting thread. I guess the first time I saw Long Day's Journey Into Night(which in my opinion is her best performance) I was really sorta taken back, but in a good way. She is so raw in that film, and very physical with the other actors..which you don't really see in alot of her other films. That whole performance and the performances of the other three male leads are amazing! Summertime is also a great film..very beautifully done. Kate looks gorgeous through out. Peace george

Me too, she's gorgeous and moving in Sumertime .... I'd like to watch LDJIN, perhaps I will ask it to my parents as present for my birthday

LDJIN of course.
And Bringing Up Baby...I hadn't seen too many of her films at that point and thought she could only do drama or drawing-room comedy. Was I ever surprised! Swingin' Door Susie, the golf course scenes, the madcap chase through the woods... perfection. (This was the film where I really began to adore Kate.)

Summertime (Locuras de verano), maybe, but "Hacia las alturas" ( The mistery title: "Christopher Strong") too I always surprise when Kate does roles of a little weak and rought women!!!

I definitely agree with everything that's been said. Summertime was amazing. She did so well at playing up the vulnerability Jane would have felt, being in Venice and discovering real love for the first time Long Day's Journey Into Night is amazing! I watched it and walked away going "wow, that lady can act!" Her performance is magic...nobody could have played that role better, in my humble opinion. That Swingin' Door Susie in Bringing Up Baby was classic. Classically awesome. I watched the movie last night and found myself smiling all the way through that scene And another performance that I thought she nailed: Dragon Seed. I don't know how many have seen it but I thought it was astounding. I would have been nervous and done a terrible job, but that's why I'm not an actor. I just thought she did a marvelous job at being so independent, yet being willing to do all the things a Chinese wife should do. I feel like I've talked about Dragon Seed a lot lately, but I adore the stinking movie
