Summertime - this movie was made in the 1950's and is quite unusual for its depiction of a single woman having an affair with a married man .

She'd already done the same in Christopher Strong, though with more disastrous consequences. And by the time she came to do Suddenly Last Summer she played a woman with seemingly no morals at all There's lot more - see what other members come up with.

Christopher Strong - its such an unusual film and I doubt it could have been made even 2/3 years later . Unfortunately its marred by poor direction . But some of the scenes are quite striking - the moth costume and the scene with the hand and the watch after they have made love .

Grace Quigley is about euthanasia--a rather controversial topic.
In A Woman Rebels her character has a child out of wedlock.
She has an affair in Sea of Grass.
Kate was quite the trailblazer on screen.

How about Lion in Winter? Amongst other things, she tries to convince her husband that she slept with her father!

Morning Glory -- sleeps with the producer to get a part in a play AQ -- sleeps with Bogie to whom she isn't married Rainmaker -- has a one night stand in the barn with Starbuck Love Among the Ruins -- had a three day affair with the Olivier character which he can't forget even after decades have passed
As far as stretching the envelope -- Sylvia Scarlett in which she plays most of the film impersonating a boy and is kissed by another woman who thinks she is a cute boy
Without Love -- marries a man as a matter of convenience -- he feels the same way -- course, they ultimately fall in love which is what makes this film fun to watch.
Yeah, Kate pushed few boundaries in her films.

She played many modern roles, which probably upset people. Do you know if there are welcome in USA ? Otherwise, she played some roles not as vangard as these : Woman of the year finish with her return to home, cooking for her husband ; in Undercurrent, she leaves her life to be Alan Garroway's wife .... my feminist part stand out.... Finally, i think she knocked over conformity and mentalities ! and that's why i love her so much
